Croatia 2024

Pia has wanted to go to Croatia for a long time, acquaintances have told her that it is beautiful and pleasant there.
Last year it didn't happen, we made other trips and we went to Thailand twice. The year before we had to deal with an operation and injuries. But now the way seems to be clear.

At first we had the idea to go there by car, about three days, maybe four, drive there and the same number of days back. And then book hotels in advance along the way.
We don't know yet where we want to go in Croatia.
That's why we went to TUI, who helped us a lot last year with a trip to Thailand. At TUI we spoke to a friendly, helpful lady who wanted to know what we wanted and when. After some searching she came up with the idea to go to the region Istria, and then the town Vrsar, she knew the area and she indicated that it was a nice town, and the hotel she recommended, Resort Belvedere, would be a few minutes from the town.
We took a travel guide home with us, but didn't look at it that much. But we did look on the internet and the hotel has good reviews there.
And we also saw that we can fly there from Rotterdam. After some calculations we came to the conclusion that flying is a bit more expensive than driving, but a lot easier.

At the same time we are also planning a trip to Vietnam in combination with Thailand. So it took a while before we decided to go to Istria by plane.
So off to TUI in the centre of Apeldoorn, where we have now spoken to another lady, also friendly and helpful. We can also make excursions and day trips from the hotel, which we can book in advance with TUI, and that is something we would like to do.
So we have booked, we still have to sort out the excursions, we leave on Saturday 7 September from Rotterdam and we will return on Saturday 14 September, also in Rotterdam.
